I found a photography blog by tumblr which in my opinion, is pretty amazing! This blog is by a photo merchant and has some of the most beautiful photography on here. This page is really eye catching and I love the layout idea. One of my favorite things is how clean it is. It puts the main focus on the photography. Check it out!

Tumblr is a new blogging website in which I will be creating soon. I decided to do a little research and see what all tumblr is about. Tumblr has hundreds of themes or you can create your own, they have mobility, email publishing, custom domains, you can post anything, photosets, privacy, high-res photos, third party apps, and much more. For my portraiture class we have to do a fantasy shot. One of my favorite characters is Poison Ivy from Batman. Im going to do her for my shot and try to put her in an appropriate environment that portrays her. This picture is the look I am going for, with a different background of course.
When taking a portrait, sometimes the background can look horrible, but the model looks good. So when that happens, just change the background. I usually get my backgrounds from google textures, lol. In this picture I added a texture to the background and touched up the model.
Here is another picture I composited other pictures into as well as text. With the text, I put it on a grid to look real. This is the before and after.
Compositing is a fun way to make a cool fantasy shot. This picture I took the following three shots and put them together. After, I then colored myself blue and made some other adjustments to get the look I wanted.
We had a class assignment awhile ago for painting with light. I did ok but some people really were creative. I found some painting with light photography that I think is pretty cool.
Now this video really shows you what you can do in photoshop. This is just crazy. In the end she is still not that pretty, but much better than before.
